Fishing Report - Oct. 17, 2014

October 17th, 2014

Crappie - It was a long hot summer and a slow start with the crappie getting started…but the last few days have been good on Lake Talquin.  Some really good catches have been caught on the points of the creeks in about 14 - 16 foot of water.  Best jig colors Bubblegum, Pariot and Acid Rain…litewire hook colors..Black, white and orange. Also, some nice catches with gold minnows.

Bass -  Good reports on bass being caught on the ledges using trick worms and spinner bait.

Bream/Shellcracker - Some good catches of bream and shellcrackers still being caught in the river and creeks in 5 to 7 feet of water…using red and green worms.

Catfish - Lots of catfish being caught all over the lake with Sonny’s Stink bait.
