Talquin Fishing Report - April 12, 2012
Thursday, April 12th, 2012Crappie - Crappie are still bitting good…lots of good catches. Trolling in 10 - 14 feet of water in the mouths of the creeks. Also, lots of crappie still being caught in the shallow in the pads with minnow. Jig colors - wildcat, acid rain and bubblegum. Litewire Jig head - red, black and orange.
Bass - Good reports on some nice bass being caught. Zoom worms and spinner bait.
Bream/Shellcrackers - Several limits of bream have been brought in. Crickets, green worms and red worms are the main bait. Shellcracker are getting ready to go on bed.
Catfish - The catfish have been really biting along the pads. Many large catches have been brought in. Sonny’s stick bait and red worms.
