Crappie - Another great weekend on Talquin …lots of crappie still being caught trolling and with minnows…still some crappie in the shallow water being caught with minnows and jigs…also, trolling in 12 to 14 feet of water…..best jig colors.. stardust, purple w/chartreuse and acid rain…litewire hooks…black, red and white.

Bass - Bass has been great in 5 to 6 feet of water …using black and Junebug trick worms.  Also, some good reports using spinners baits and top water plugs.

Bream/Shellcrackers - Bream and shellcracker on the bed…lots of nice bream and shellcrackers caught this weekend using big red worms, green worms, wigglers and crickets.

Catfish - Lots of catfish being caught with Sonny’s stink bait.

Crappie - With all the rain April was still a great month on Lake Talquin for the crappie.  The last few days there has been a lot of rain…but, it hasn’t kept the crappie fishers off the lake…fishing around the showers some really good catches of crappie have been brought in.  The crappie are still being caught in the shallow water and trolling.  Best jig colors bubble gum, blue/black w/chartreuse, acid rain and wildcat…litewire hooks…black, red and white.

Bass - Good reports on some nice bass being caught in the pads…great tournament last weekend for the ABA…big bass weigh in at 9.66 lbs…look for picture post in photo gallery.

Bream/Shellcracker - Some bream are being caught in 5 to 6 feet of water with crickets and red worms.. no reports on shellcrackers…full moon should be a great time for bream and shellcrackers to really get started.

Catfish - Lots of catfish being caught with all the fresh water all over the lake with Sonny’s stink bait and green worms.
