Fishing Report 18 Dec 2012
Tuesday, December 18th, 2012Crappie: Good reports of crappie being caught from Freeman Creek to the Dam. The best baits are bubblegum, acid rain, and white/chartruse using litewirehooks. Many fishermen are using #4 or #5 piece of lead approximately 18 inches above the jig and throwing way back. Speed from .8 to 1 MPH has worked the best. Bites are coming on the ledges and when bottom contour changes. Light winds and warm weather increases the number of fish being caught.
Bass: Some Bass being caught around Boat Docks with trash
Bream: No bream fishermen during the last few weeks.
Catfish: The catfish are still biting just about all over the lake.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all fishermen and remember “The fish are always biting at Lake Talquin Lodge”
